We are excited to announce that we now have lots of information to release for the upcoming 2016 Orangutan SSP Husbandry Course which is being held at the Henry Vilas Zoo in Madison.
Orangutan Husbandry Course
Registration is now open for the first Orangutan SSP Husbandry Course! The one day course will be held in conjunction with the 10th Annual Orangutan SSP Husbandry Workshop and will be at the Henry Vilas Zoo in Madison, Wisconsin. This course will provide participants with information about orangutans including, natural history and behavior, reproduction, birth management and hand rearing, caregiver relationships, introductions, orangutan nutrition and body condition, record keeping and documentation, veterinarian overview, training and problem solving. This course will be taught by members of the steering committee. It will be held on August 16th and will cost $165 (all meals/transportation included).
Payment is not required at this time, however if you are planning to attend (there needs to be a minimum of 18 people to hold the course), please fill out the attached form and send it to Erin Jones at firstname.lastname@example.org.
